About Me

I have recently graduated from California State University, Chico.  I earned both my Multiple Subject and Education Specialist I teaching credentials.  I am a fun loving, spontaneous, and an adventurous person.  Now finally done with school, I am anxious to start my next adventure. I am looking forward to see what life has in store for me!

I will be living in Panyu, a suburb outside of Guangzhou, China for a year.  I will be teaching second grade at Clifford International School.  Everything I am teaching will be in English.  I will be teaching Math, Social Studies, Science, and Language Arts.  The language barrier will be a challenge, but I know I will have a lot of support from the staff and administration to guide me throughout the year. I am up for the challenge!

I would have never thought of starting a blog, but I will not have access to Facebook (which I use often to connect to friends and family) while in China. I thought a blog would be the perfect way to share pictures and stories.

I plan to share many pictures and stories of my teaching adventures and travels.  I hope you enjoy!

  1. Hi Sarah,
Your dad passed along your blog address. I'm really enjoying the pictures and captions. What a fascinating adventure. I hope you're enjoying it. I think Natalie (your Asian cousin) is planning on visiting you at some point. Hope the two of you can get together.
    Take care and be safe!

    1. I am glad you are enjoying the blog! I try to update as often as possible, usually weekly, so keep looking for updates. I told Natalie to come visit. It would be a lot of fun to show her around. I hope she comes!!

I LOVE the Halloween pics! What a darling bunch of kids you have. Had they dressed up like that before? Oh, I wish I could squeeze in a trip to see you....
